Children from the Burnham-On-Sea area are being invited to a series of special gardening workshops at Sanders Garden World during April.
The centre on Bristol Road in Brent Knoll is offering youngsters the opportunity to take part in free seed planting workshops on Saturday April 16th and Sunday April 17th.
General Manager Peter Burks explained: “Gardening is great fun for all the family and we’re keen to encourage children to get involved.”
“At the workshops they can create a ‘cress head’ and pot up a pumpkin, both of which they can take home.”
The workshops will take place from 10.30am until 11.30am and from 2.30pm until 3.30pm on both April 16th and 17th.
Peter added: “Gardening and growing your own vegetables and salads is a great hobby. It encourages physical activity and helps teach youngsters about where their food comes from.”
