Influx of Spring animals prompts kitchen roll appeal from wildlife charity!

-

Animal carers at Secret World Wildlife Rescue centre near Burnham-On-Sea are being kept busy with a whole host of Spring newcomers including a goat kid, baby badgers and newly-hatched birds.

Looking after the youngsters is keeping staff busy around-the-clock and they have this week appealed for local people to help by providing kitchen roll.

Spokesman Jamie Baker explained to Burnham-On-Sea.com: “While we have all the special foods needed to care for our babies, we are in desperate need of kitchen rolls to mop up the mess and to use as nesting material.”

“Mum would usually lick her babies to get them to empty their bladders. We use wetted kitchen roll to do the job.”

“We’ll do the feeds and clear up the mess but can you please help us with the supply of kitchen rolls?”

If you can help, contact the charity by calling 01278 783250.
