Dozens of Volkswagen enthusiasts drove through Burnham-On-Sea in convoy on Sunday morning (April 17th) during a fundraising cruise.
The fifth annual ‘Cruise to Weston Prom’ was held by Der Blitzen Spinchters in aid of Weston Hospicecare and the RNLI.
The vehicles congregated at Brean Leisure Park before heading along Red Road through Berrow, then into Burnham via Berrow Road, Manor Road and Love Lane, as pictured here. They then travelled along the A38 to Weston.
VW vehicles of all shapes, sizes and colours took part and beeped their horns as they travelled past watching residents at the roadside.
Organiser Rachael Plummer told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The show is now in its fifth year and has raised over £7,000 for charities so far.”
“We had super weather and great support for Sunday’s event, which ran from Brean Leisure Park to Weston-super-Mare beach lawns.”
