Burnham-On-Sea businesses are being offered free assistance to help them improve their visual displays and merchandising.
Aimed at helping the look, feel and shopability of businesses, the free service is been funded by cash from Tesco designed to offset the impact of the expansion of its Burnham-On-Sea store.
Town Centre Manager Bev Milner Simonds told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “There has been persistent feedback from members of the public that the overall standard of window dressing and merchandising in the town centre could be improved.”
“We have funding for 20 businesses to have a 3 hour consultation with a merchandising specialist. Some places have been taken but we still have availability for the end of July and August.”
Kay Haines from KDS Interiors added: “The merchandising consultation was useful to me, as it made me rethink how we display our products in order to get people interested in looking in our showroom. In particular the consultant helped with ideas for our window display, to make clearer what we sell, gain potential customers interest and ultimately get them through the door.”
For each business that signs up they will have the opportunity to work through many options and alternatives to come up with a bespoke plan for them, that helps them achieve their retail goals.
