A Burnham-On-Sea florist is celebrating being short-listed for a prestigious award as the UK’s top Retail Florist Shop Of The Year.
Flowers and Things in Burnham High Street – which is celebrating its 16th anniversary in thw town this Saturday – is appealing for local people to vote for it online here in the British Florist Association Industry Awards.
Owner Julie Dean, right, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s a great honour to have been short listed for this award after 16 years of being in the floristry business.”
“There are over 8,000 retail florists in the country. High Street florists are a dying breed with many closing every year, but it’s our 16th anniversary this weekend.”
“I feel privileged and proud to have made it this far and am looking forward to many more years of trading in Burnham’s High Street.”
This Saturday, the shop will be running a free prize draw and also offering 20% off throughout the day to celebrate.
