One person was taken to hospital after a two-car collision on Burnham-On-Sea’s seafront on Sunday (December 15th).
Fire and ambulance crews were called to the South Esplanade at 12.30pm after a car leaving Margaret Crescent and a vehicle travelling along the seafront collided.
Two fire appliances from Burnham and a rescue tender from Taunton were called to the scene, and crews helped the ambulance staff to safely remove one casualty from a vehicle.
“A person suffered suspected whiplash injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution,” a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The road was temporarily blocked while the emergency services were on scene and was fully re-opened by 1.30pm.
