Burnham-On-Sea’s monthly farmers market returns to the town’s High Street this Friday (July 29th) with a tasty line-up of stalls.
Over a dozen stalls will be set-up in the town centre selling local produce including fruit, local meat, vegetables, cakes, cheese, pies, bakery items and milk from 9am-1pm.
“This month we are excited to introduce Berrow Beef & Lamb who hail from their family farm, 10 minutes up the road in Berrow,” said one of the organisers.
“Sarah and Richard rear sheep and Aberdeen Angus and Hereford cattle on their 250 acre farm. Grass fed, with the meat hung for a minimum of 21 days, the farm has started to build up a following of very happy customers.”
This month the market will be joined also by Time to Change, Somerset, a brilliant campaign focusing on ending the stigma faced by those with mental health problems.
This Friday’s line up includes:
- Blackrock Kitchen – croissant, tarts and other patisserie treats.
- Ebdon Firewood – suppliers of seasoned firewood, eco logs, oak door stops and fireplace tools.
- G M Country Sports – seasonal game, also home made game burgers and sausages
- Humble Pie – handmade pies from Street
- In Clover – beautiful native perennials and cottage garden flowers ready to be planted. Grown in Dinder
- Old Castle Farm Pork – sausages, sausage meat and pork joints from outdoor reared pigs
- Nutts For… – scotch eggs in a variety of tasty flavours
- Orchard Farm preserves – home made preserves and traditional cakes
- Portbridge Farm Vegetables – seasonal, locally grown veg from Chew Magna
- Taylors Traditional Bakers – freshly baked tradtional bread and buns from Bruton
- Times Past Dairy – award winning cheeses in many flavour
