Burnham-On-Sea and District Model Railway Club has raised more than £1,000 for the town’s community centre by selling dozens of specially-commissioned miniature railway wagons.
The club’s John Langley designed the tiny replicas of Somerset brewery wagons to raise money for the centre in Berrow Road, where the model rail club is based.
“They proved really successful with collectors and we’re pleased to have raised a total of £1,100 for the community centre,” John told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The funding is being used to help the ongoing refurbishment of the community centre.
