Dozens of shops and businesses across Burnham-On-Sea are displaying cryptic clues in their windows as part of a special treasure hunt run by the town’s Chamber of Trade.
Each clue features a nautical validation symbol and the public is invited to see if they can follow the trail around the town centre and be in with a chance of winning £100 cash.
Entry forms are available from here and from participating businesses including the town’s seafront tourist information centre.
A steady flow of participants has been seen around the town on the trail. However, to enable as many people as possible to complete the trail, the organisers have decided to release the locations of three of the clues along the trail.
Alex Turco, commenting on behalf of the Chamber of Trade, said: “Writing clues suitable for all ages for the twenty nine businesses on the trail is difficult. Make sure to visit The Round Tower Guest House, KDS Interiors and Take Two Cafe for three of the clues and symbols.”
The competition finishes this Saturday, 6th August.
“The treasure hunt has attracted more people into the town centre over the holidays in the run-up to Burnham’s emergency services day this Sunday, August 7th, when the winner will be announced.”
