More than 200 pupils from Highbridge’s King Alfred School arrived in style at an end-of-term prom near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday evening (May 27th).
Stretch limousines, porches, jeeps and several bikes were out in force as the Year 11 students pulled up outside Rookery Manor, where the annual Year 11 Prom Night dance was held.
The school’s Janine Browne told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Excitement has been building for this night for several weeks – it’s an important day as it marks the end of the students’ time at the school.”
“Many thousands of pounds will have been spent on the vehicles and outfits this evening – and a great time was had.”
Scores of limos were seen around the streets of Burnham-On-Sea, ferrying the youngsters to their special evening.
Over 60 sixth form students at King Alfred School also held their Prom on Friday evening, boarding two buses for a special night out in Weston.
