Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea were called out after a blaze broke out at a fish and chip shop in Highbridge on Tuesday morning (August 10th).
A deep fat fryer was alight at Rob’s Fish Bar in Church Street shortly after 11.30am.
Fire crews from Bridgwater and Burnham-On-Sea were sent to the incident and it was confirmed that the fire had not caused any major damage.
The fish bar remained open for business as usual with no effect to its trade.
A fire service spokesman confirmed that the incident had been started accidentally.
