Make a splash for local good causes at Brean Swimarathon!

-

Charity swimmers in the Burnham-On-Sea area are being sought to take part in a sponsored Swimarathon next month.

The annual event is being organised by Burnham Rotary Club and will be held from 10am at Brean Splash on Sunday February 9th.

“Teams participating this year will retain ALL of the money they raise for their own good cause or charity,” organiser Jim Tancock told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Teams of up to eight swimmers will swim alternate lengths to see how many lengths they can achieve in 50 minutes. There is no age restriction.

“This is your chance to get your school, club, organisation, business or just your family involved. The pool is divided into six lanes and six teams can swim at the same time – it’s a lot of fun and is not a race,” added Jim.

For more information, contact Jim Tancock on 01278 786814 or 07790019694 or email him at tancockjames@btinternet.com

“Please get entries in soon in order to have a greater choice of your swim time on the day. Last year we had three sessions starting on the hour. The Rotary Club will supply your sponsor forms and swim time programme. Names of teams are required, including swimmers names, as soon as possible.”
