Sanders Garden World in Brent Knoll will be the venue for an annual Rose and Sweet Pea Show this weekend.
The event, organised by members of Burnham-On-Sea and Nailsea Horticultural Societies, takes place on Saturday June 11th and Sunday June 12th.
Peter Burks, General Manager of the garden centre, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have hosted the Rose and Sweet Pea Show for the past eight years and it has always been a great success. We are excited to be staging the event again this year.”
“Visitors will be able to see top quality roses and sweet peas, as well as other cut flowers and pot plantos.”
Categories for entries include roses, sweet peas, cut flowers, pot plants and a kitchen garden section.
Peter added: “The show has proven to be popular with visitors in the past and I’m sure there will be something of interest to everyone.”
There will also be classes for large flowered roses, climbing/rambling roses, miniature roses, vases and bowls of sweet peas and fuchsias, begonias and pelargonium pot plants.
The organisers are not charging a fee for entries and the prizes in all of the classes will be Sanders Garden World gift vouchers.
The show is open to the public on the Saturday from 11.30am until 6pm and on the Sunday from 10am until 4.30pm. Judging takes place on the Saturday morning before the event is open to the public and the prize-giving will be held at 12noon on the same day.
