A motorist was arrested for assault after allegedly fighting with another driver following a road accident outside Highbridge on Tuesday morning (February 12th).
Burnham police were called to a two-vehicle collision involving a Ford Transit and a Ford Escort which partially blocked Isleport Road between the B3139 Mark Road and Pillmore Lane.
“Police attended after reports of the drivers fighting. One man was arrested for assault and was taken into custody for questioning at Bridgwater Police Station,” spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
He added that neither motorist received injuries from the accident, which occured at around 7am. The road was later fully re-opened.
