A top line-up of jazz and swing music, headlined by acclaimed groups Boulevard Swing and The New Society Jazz Band, had been due to be held in the town’s Manor Gardens.
But organiser Mike Murphy told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Sunday morning: “In the face of consistent Met Office reports of heavy rain and wind, we have decided to cancel the event.”
“All the bands have been cancelled. We’re now looking onwards to Picnic In The Park and a grand Highbridge event in July. Pray for sunshine!”
Organising group CADS, the Burnham and Highbridge Cultural Arts and Development Society, holds several free events a year for the benefit of people in both towns.
