Burnham-On-Sea swimming pool re-opened to the public on Monday evening (February 18th) after a 36-hour closure caused by a technical problem.
The pool was closed on Sunday morning (February 17th) due to an electrical problem in the plant room.
Workmen were busy throughout Monday repairing the problems and the pool finally re-opened at 7pm.
A spokesman for the district council, which currently owns the closure-threatened pool, said the failure of an electrical control panel in the plant room meant there was no power to the circulating pumps, chlorine or acid pumps in the pool.
Menawhile, the pool will also be shut between 9am and 10.30am on Wednesday (February 20th) for a staff training and information session.
