Police are investigating a deliberate fire which occurred at a block of flats in Highbridge early on Saturday morning (June 25th).

One Burnham-On-Sea fire engine was sent to Parsons Road at 2.33am after reports of a fire in a building.

A spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The crews confirmed there were two seats of fire, one on the ground floor and one in the roof space in a block of six flats.”

“The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate by persons unknown.”

“Both seats of fire were out on arrival of the fire service. Crews carried out an inspection and handed over to the police for them to investigate further.”
