Armed Forces Day was marked in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge on Saturday (June 25th) with two ceremonies.
Dozens of residents attended the flag-raising ceremonies in Highbridge, outside the Community Hall, and besides Burnham’s Pier Street fountain.
Mayor and Mayoress, Michael and Maria Clarke, were joined by members of Burnham Army Cadets, the Royal British Legion’s flag bearers and town councillors at the two ceremonies.
The Mayor told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It was wonderful to see such great support in both Burnham and Highbridge today for these ceremonies, which demonstrate the support for our Armed Forces.”
