Dozens of art lovers flocked to a fundraising art exhibition in Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday (June 25th).
The ‘R-Tex’ exhibition at Burnham Baptist Church Hall in College Street raised £280 for the Peter Gilliard Memorial School in Rajahmundry, India, which is named after Highbridge resident Peter Gilliard, who died in 2002.
The school educates over 360 children and costs £2,000 a month to keep running and is funded partly by events in the Burnham and Highbridge area.
Organiser Jayne Feltham told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We had a good flow of visitors throughout the day and thank everyone for their support.”
She said a further fundraising exhibition will be held on September 3rd at the same location, which will again be open to the public, and on July 30th at the Gospel Tabernacle.
Saturday’s event included artwork from Aaron and Malcom Spratt (top), Susand Yard (above) and photos from Richard Phillips (below).
