Firefighters from Burnham-On-Sea were among several crews who tackled a big barn blaze on Monday (June 27th).
Fire engines from Cheddar, Winscombe, Blagdon and Burnham, together with a water carrier from Bridgwater and a support unit from Street were sent to a barn fire in Hythe Lane, Cheddar at 2pm.
“The crews found two barns measuring approx 20m x 5m to be well alight. Crews spent many hours extinguishing the fire using hose reel jets,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
By 9pm last night, the incident had been scaled down but crews were still at work this morning (Tuesday, June 28th) damping down the barn.
