Christmas town centre events plans in Burnham-On-Sea gather pace

-

The Burnham-On-Sea area might be enjoying a mild start to autumn at the moment but plans for Christmas are already being finalised by the Town Council.

There is a programme of street entertainment planned for every weekend in the run up to Christmas – including local bands, choirs, the return of the polar bear, lost elves, stilt walkers, street magicians and a few surprises too.

The festive celebrations, branded as a ‘Frostival’, will begin with Burnham’s lights switch-on on Saturday 19 November, overseen by Burnham Chamber of Trade.

Today is the last call for the events guide listing all local festivities that will be published and distributed to surrounding towns and villages and further afield across Somerset.

If you are an event organiser; have a hall that is booked or are planning an event then let the Town Centre Manager Bev Milner Simonds know so that it can be publicised as widely as possible.

She said: “We have a great line-up of entertainment planned and we want the Frostival guide to encourage people to spend time locally this Christmas, to explore the varied businesses throughout the town centre and enjoy some great entertainment too. To avoid missing out, if you are planning a fair, concert or other festive event please do send me your listings information as soon as possible.”

If you have event plans, contact Bev at bostowncentremanager@gmail.com and also feedback@burnham-on-sea.com with the following details: What is planned, where it will be held, when it will be open/happening (dates/times), any entry costs, a brief description and contact details for the organiser.
