A charity race night is to be held at Burnham-On-Sea’s Rosewood Pub tomorrow night (Friday) as it celebrates its 20th anniversary this weekend.
The pub in Love Lane hopes to raise over £1,500 for breast cancer research from the race night, which will start at 8pm.
Adam Britton, assistant manager at The Rosewood, said: “We’re doing this with a raffle and selling drinks on the race night itself. So far we’ve raised £200 with the raffle and we’re aiming for £400, with the rest being raised on race night.”
Raffle prizes include a weekend break at one of Greene King’s pubs, a pair of opera tickets. The race night will feature a big screen with horse racing.
This year also marks the pub’s 20th birthday and so a children’s party is being held with an animal theme on Saturday, February 1st. There will also be a children’s entertainer plus other games, entertainment and prizes.
