Police in Burnham-On-Sea are to invite local people to have their say on how the town is policed at a special public meeting being held next week.
A ‘Partners And Community Together’ (PACT) meeting will be held at the Old Courthouse in Jaycroft Road from 7pm on Wednesday (March 19th).
Burnham’s Neighbourhood Watch co-ordinators will also be at the meeting, which is aimed at giving residents their say on how their neighbourhood is policed.
Burnham’s neighbourhood police team head PS Ian Kennett said: “As a team we are dedicated to finding local solutions to local problems and making our communities safer as result.”
“I would ask that the local community supports us by speaking to their local police about their concerns or issues, so that we can look at causes and solutions to them.”
“As a community we can work together to make a real difference to the quality of people’s lives and we will be interested to hear what people feel strongly about.”
“What ever the issue, from noise and graffiti to street lighting or anti-social behaviour I would ask people to make sure they have their say.”
All residents in the Burnham Coastal ward are invited to the meeting.
