A West Huntspill pensioner celebrated his 102nd birthday this week with a special visit from Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor.
Cllr Michael Clarke dropped in to wish Bill Gascoigne many happy returns during a celebration at West Huntspill’s Day Centre in the village’s Balliol Hall.
“Bill is incredibly sprightly and is not showing his age at all,” Michael told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “He even beat me at dominoes during my visit!”
Jane Wadsworth, Day Centre Organiser, added: “Our members had a great day joining in Bill’s celebration and we were all delighted to be joined by local councillor Jane Moreton and the Mayor.”
