Preparations underway for 67th annual Highbridge Festival of the Arts

Final preparations are underway for the 67th annual Highbridge Festival Of The Arts which will be held across several venues this year.

With hundreds of entries from across the south west, this year’s festival promises to have something for everyone, whether it be dance, speech and drama or music.

“The festival will get underway with dance running from 6th – 9th March at the Princess Theatre and Arts Centre in Burnham-On-Sea,” said a spokesman. “The festival will then see Speech and Drama from 10th – 11th March.”

“The Music section this year will run from 12th-15th March and will be at different venues for different sessions – St Andrews Church, Churchfield School and Highbridge Community Hall.”

The festival originated in Highbridge in 1948 and has been held for many years at The Princess.
