Brean’s annual Country & Western Festival begins this Friday (30th September 2016) with music and entertainment on offer across the resort.
There will be country music performances at many venues in Brean, as well as stalls selling a range of western clothing and accessories.
Richard Lewis, General Manager at The Beachcomber in Brean, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Brean’s Country & Western Festival is a fantastic event, seeing hundreds of visitors dressed up in their cowboy hats and spurs.”
“We’ve got some exciting features outside The Beachcomber this year, including a Shoot Out Zone and Rodeo Bull on Saturday and Sunday 1st and 2nd October.”
“Everyone is welcome to join in the festivities, and enjoy live music completely free of charge.”
The Beachcomber hosts a week of nightly country entertainment to celebrate the Country & Western Festival.
Country acts performing at The Beachcomber include Friday 30th September: Dee D and James Gang, a five-piece country band.
On Saturday 1st October from approx 2.30pm – Kel Britton will be leading the line dancing favourites; then in the evening the Henry Snith Band will be on stage with a Taylor Swift tribute in the children’s room.
On Sunday 2nd October it’s the turn of Souls n Stone, a Country music duo. Monday 3rd October will see a Johnny Cash tribute with a homage to the ‘Ring of Fire’ singer. Tuesday 4th October sees a Dolly Parton tribute featuring Sarah Jayne as the iconic country singer.
Wednesday 5th October will see Johnny Holland singing – a talented country singer and guitarist. And then on Thursday 6th October there’s a Roy Orbison and Gene Pitney tribute led by Paul Hopkins.
The Beachcomber’s Cabaret Bar doors open at 6pm each evening. The Beachcomber regularly hosts live entertainment and is open to the public. Visitors can park for free in The Beachcomber car park. Entry to the event is free of charge.
