A motorist was rushed to hospital after an accident near Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday evening (March 29th).
Burnham fire service was called at 7.27pm to a crash involving a single car in Mendip Road, Rooksbridge where one female was trapped within the vehicle.
“Crews stabilised the vehicle in preparation for glass management and removal of the roof,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The casualty was removed from the vehicle soon after 8pm and left in the hands of ambulance crews, who conveyed her to hospital.
“The casualty was removed from the vehicle on a spinal board after liaising with paramedics,” added the fire spokesman.
One fire engine from Burnham attended, together with an appliance and emergency tender from Weston.
