A Burnham-On-Sea man will be among the thousands of runners taking part in this month’s London Marathon in aid of a Weston-based charity.
Iain Turner from Burnham will be running the road race in aid of Weston Hospicecare on April 13th.
Forty-year-old Iain, who is also running in aid of the Leukaemia Research Trust, said: “This is my first full marathon and I’m training an average of 40 miles a week to prepare for it.”
“I am also running it dressed as a banana to tie in with the Leukaemia Research Trust’s theme, Banana Army.”
He is currenty looking for sponsorship so that he can raise as much money as possible for the two charities.
