-

The 2016 Singing Children of Africa arrived in Burnham-On-Sea on Sunday afternoon and were met by host families from across the area who are kindly having the Kenyan children stay in their homes for the next two weeks.

The Kenyan pupils are mostly attached to local schools during the daytime. During their fortnight here they will visit Berrow School, St Andrews School, Churchfield School, Sidcot Junior and Senior School, West Huntspill School, Hugh Sexey Middle School, Brent Knoll Primary School, East Brent First School and Lympsham First School.

They will also visit Millfield Senior School and will experience Somerset school lessons as well as sharing with our pupils what life and school is like for them in Kenya.

Sue Stevens, charity fundraiser for ‘Educate the Kids’ wishes to especially thank local businesses The Ritz Cinema, Burnham-On-Sea Holiday Village and Mendip Outdoor Sports who will be providing the choir with leisure opportunities during their stay.
