Berrow Football Club celebrated its championship winning season and promotion to the Somerset County Premier division with a special fun day on Saturday (July 23rd).
The club’s first team had been due to take on a team of Bristol City Legends but when they withdrew at short notice just before the game, the team played Bristol City’s Youth Team instead and won convincingly at the Red Road playing fields.
The club also unveiled its new sponsor, Burnham’s Watermark Financial Services, during the afternoon. Boss Mark Woods is pictured handing over the shirts to delighted Club Chairman Brian Hart and Captain Ryan Mcerlain.
Club Chairman Brian Hart told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We were disappointed that the legends team pulled out just before the game but still had a great afternoon to celebrate our winning season.”
A bar, bouncy castle and clay pigeon shooting were among the other activities.
