Tribute to the wit and song of Noël Coward comes to Burnham tonight

-

A special tribute to the wit and song-writing of Noël Coward will be held in Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre tonight (Friday, February 28th).

Pianist and entertainer Peter Gill, pictured right, will present ‘The Wit and Song of Noël Coward’, starting at 7.30pm.

Born in 1899, Coward was an actor, writer, composer, director, producer and in later life painter – and he excelled at them all.

“This unique event will provide a tribute to the wit and song-writing skill of that most English of Englishmen, Noël Coward, who said of himself ‘I am an enormously talented man and there is no point in denying it’,” said a Princess spokesman.

“Peter will remind us of his dazzling wit and perform such gems as A Bar on The Piccola Marina, Don’t Let’s Be Beastly To The Germans, Mrs Worthington, There Are Bad Times Just Around The Corner and Mad Dogs & Englishmen.”

Tickets are available from The Princess Box Office on 01278 784464, priced at Standard £12, Concession £11, Friends of the Princess £11.
