A Burnham-On-Sea resident has raised hundreds of pounds for a cancer support charity in an effort to support a family member fighting the disease.
Michelle Haines and supporters held a bag pack on Sunday (16th October) at Tesco’s Burnham-On-Sea store for Stand Up To Cancer.
Michelle, right, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We managed to raise over £550 – I’m over the moon we had so many wonderful donations.”
“A big thank you to everyone that came and helped, including Nick Tolley Photography who kindly printed off posters free of charge, and David Wright who came along and played sax music which was enjoyed by many.”
She added: “I have a family member fighting cancer at the moment and wanted to show him our support.”
“Too many loved ones have suffered from this terrible disease and its about time that stops. We need to find a cure.”
