A woman suffered a broken foot in a fall at Brean on Saturday evening (October 22nd).
Brean’s beachwarden called out Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards just before 6pm after the ambulance service said it was unable to attend due to other higher prority calls.
The 29 year-old lady, from the West Midlands, had fallen down a set of steps at Brean Down during a walk with her partner. The Coastguard team drove the lady to Weston Hospital for treatment.
She returned to Brean beach on Sunday morning to thank the beach warden and Coastguards for their help.
