Mini owners set to converge on Brent Knoll for charity car show

-

Mini owners from across the South West will be displaying their vehicles at a charity event in Brent Knoll next month.

The Mini Show will take place at Sanders Garden World on Sunday September 25th in aid of Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service (Freewheelers EVS).

Peter Burks, General Manager of the garden centre, said: “We are really looking forward to hosting the Charity Mini Show at the garden centre. All types of Minis are welcome. Owners will be able to display their vehicles and enter them to be judged in the show.”

“There will be five categories to enter: best custom vehicle, best Cooper, best Mini, spirit of show and best in show. Owners will be asked to make a one-off donation of £3 per Mini entered into the show.”

“After the event, the Mini owners will be invited to participate in an escorted Mini convoy through the Cheddar Gorge.”

All proceeds from the show are being donated to Freewheelers EVS, a registered charity that transports items on specially adapted motorcycles, which are equipped with blue lights and sirens for emergency use, from hospital to hospital in Somerset and beyond.

The charity’s Allan Roberts added: “This is the first time we have held a Mini Show at the garden centre. Anyone interested in displaying a vehicle at the event call me on 01278 789145 for further details.”
