Fundraisers are being encouraged to get on their bikes for charity at an event in Burnham-On-Sea this evening (Friday, August 19th).
Burnham BMX Club and Sue Ryder Care have organised the ‘BMX Ride for Ryder’, which takes place from 6-9pm at the town’s Apex Park BMX track.
“A group of sponsored riders will be doing 30 laps around track to raise money and we will also have lots of races for kids and parents with some great prizes to be won,” organiser Helen Roberts told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The event will be open to the public and entry will cost £2 each (under 5s free), with entry to the races costing £1.
Helen added: “We will also have a plate smash which should appeal to some teenagers and frustrated parents during the school holidays!”
There will also be a bouncy castle for younger children, hot dogs and hamburgers plus other refreshments, with all proceeds going to Sue Ryder Care.
