And they’re off! Pig racing night set to be held in Brean this evening

-

Brean Leisure Park will hold one of its summer pig racing nights this evening (Tuesday, August 16th).

Crowds of onlookers are expected to flock to the family event, which will get underway at 7pm.

In addition to pig races there will also be donkey racing and a tote for those who like a flutter.

The event will be raising money for a a number of local good causes, including Highbridge and Burnham’s St John Ambulance and Burnham Sea Cadets.

“Pig racing is hilarious fun for everyone, but the ones who enjoy it most are our pigs!” organiser Mike Barsby told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“They thrive on human contact and get very excited by the crowd, so come along, have a flutter and cheer on your chosen pig. The louder you cheer, the faster they run!”

Pig and Donkey racing nights will also be held at the park on August 23rd and 30th. Admission is £2 per person with children in prams or pushchairs free.
