A man was rushed to hospital in the early hours of this morning (Saturday) after a serious accident in Burnham-On-Sea that caused thousands of pounds of damage.
Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Oxford Street at 5.45am after the driver of a Skoda Octavia lost control at the Esso petrol station roundabout, then slammed into a brick wall.
The wall bordering the petrol station and Magnolia House guesthouse was badly damaged, as pictured here.
A 27 year-old man was taken to hospital after suffering several injuries and Burnham-On-Sea Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Eyewitnesses told Burnham-On-Sea.com there had been a “very loud bang” when the collision took place.
A parked car was also damaged by the flying debris and a sign at the guesthouse was also smashed.
