Patriotic entertainment came to Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre on Saturday night (October 29th) when Burnham and Highbridge’s Town Band played a Last Night of the Proms style concert.
The evening featured Proms classics Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance and Henry Wood’s Fantasia in front of a big audience.
Guest Soprano Bev King powerfully led the singing of the ever-popular Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and Rule Britannia, and the audience sang along while waving flags.
Tony Fricker, Chairman of Burnham and Highbridge Band, said it had been a “fantastic evening, with enthusiastic audience participation.”
