Fundraising BMX bike ride in Burnham raises charity cash

-

BMX enthusiasts jumped onto their bikes to raise money for charity in Burnham-On-Sea on Friday evening (August 19th).

Burnham BMX Club and Sue Ryder Care organised the ‘BMX Ride for Ryder’ at the town’s Apex Park BMX track, as pictured here.

A group of sponsored riders pedalled 30 laps around the track and several children’s races were also held to raise money, alongside a plate-smashing challenge.

“A fun evening was had by everyone and the final figure raised is still being tallied up,” organiser Helen Roberts told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “We hope to hold another similar event next year.”
