Rose Brooks from Mencap, pictured, helped to raise hundreds of pounds for her charity and Burnham Hopsital, which organises the long-running Bank Holiday Monday Fete.
The town’s Manor Gardens were crowded with throngs of people for an afternoon of entertainment, stalls and fairground games, which raised over £4,000 for the Friends of Burnham-On-Sea Hospital.
Among the many Burnham-On-Sea groups taking part and raising money were the Lions, Rotary Club, WI, Moose Lodge, local churches, BARB, RNLI, Folkfest and the Royal British Legion.
League Of Friends Chairman Tony Deahl told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s been another great afternoon – we’ve seen a big turnout of people and have raised around £4,000 for the hospital. Many thanks go to everyone who supported us today.”
