Members of a Highbridge pub’s skittles team are celebrating again this week after securing a sponsor.
The Royalists, who are based at The Bristol Bridge Inn on the A38, will be travelling to Torquay next month to compete in the regional finals of the Blackthorn Skittles British Championships.
The competitive tournament includes scores of teams from across the South West, from afield as Gloucester and Cornwall to Cardiff.
Salt Express in Highbridge has this week come forward to sponsor the team after reading about them here on Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The team’s Dave Perrett said: “We’re delighted to have got a new sponsor for our shirts and are looking forward to competing in the tournament in a few of weeks time.”
