Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club toasts a successful season

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Hillview Carnival Club has enjoyed a successful carnival season, winning the praise of judges and crowds at events across Somerset.

The club’s space-themed float, called ‘Reach 4 The Stars’, won second places in the juvenile category at each of the carnivals including in Burnham-On-Sea.

The club’s Duncan Britton told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s been a great achievement this year with the new shed and an excellent cart.”

“I couldn’t ask for more from our team of adults and children and our very kind supporters – including local businesses and organisations. The kids have made us very proud dancing in the wind and rain over the final nights!”

Hillview won the award for ‘best local entry’ and ‘most outstanding local costumes’ at the Highbridge and Burnham Carnival earlier in the month when the club also picked up the Chairman’s Choice award for best local entry.
