The tail end of a former hurricane created stormy sea conditions in Burnham-On-Sea on Monday evening (September 12th).
Gale force winds gusting up to 50mph left rough sea conditions when Monday’s 10.8m high tide reached its peak at 7.17pm.
Former Hurricane Katia passed over northern UK on Monday, but the Burnham area saw no serious damage from the gusty conditions.
Wind surfers and kite surfers were out in force on Monday evening, taking advantage of the conditions. A Burnham Coastguard spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com there had been no incidents.
