Artists from across Burnham-On-Sea are showcasing their work this week during the 2011 Somerset Arts Weeks festival.
Hundreds of paintings, ceramics, drawings, textiles and sculptures will be among the items on show in Burnham between September 17th and October 2nd.
Cora Stock, Clive & Sue Hammond-Lovatt and Margaret Micklewright (pictured) will be displaying their work from 11am-6pm each day at 112 Berrow Road. A super collection of ceramics, paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures and stone carvings will be on show.
Timothy Smith, Jaya Masters, Louise Pendry and Sarah Philpott will be exhibiting a mixture of watercolours, oils, acrylics, pastels, ink and pencil at 47 Rosewood Avenue. Their display will be open each day from 10am-6pm and Sundays 2pm-6pm. Displays will include traditional local scenes, animal studies and impressionism.
A new Burnham studio joining the Arts Weeks this year will be 212 Burnham Road, where textile artists Linda Gee, Wendy Jones, Val Sainsbury, Ann Rothwell, Sue Prosser and Tina Murray will show their jewellery, silverwork, mixed media, textiles and fashion. Their display will be open daily from 11am-5pm.
Somerset Art Weeks 2011 is a celebration of the work of around 400 artists in over 100 venues across the county.
