Burnham-On-Sea fire crews called to fuel leak in Highbridge

-

Burnham-On-Sea fire crews were called to Highbridge on Tuesday evening (September 27th) after residents reported a strong smell of fuel.

The crews were called to Pepperall Road at 8pm, as pictured here, where they found a parked car was leaking a large amount of petrol.

“Several pools of petrol were soaked up around the vehicle and the leak itself was capped,” a fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

It was the second similar incident in Highbridge on Tuesday. Another vehicle was reported to be leaking fuel in the car park at King Alfred School.
