Highbridge’s Summerset Live music festival unveils line-up of 22 acts

-

The organisers of a two-day music festival taking place in Highbridge during May have announced their line-up of acts taking part.

Summerset Live will take place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May at the Oaktree Arena.

The event aims to showcase some of the great local musical talent in the south west while helping local charities.

The acts playing on the Saturday include Firekind (pictured) who were recently crowned global Battle of the Bands winners 2014, Sun Dog Days, The Man From Funkle, The Fallen Apples, The Leylines, Vermin, Ronin, The Thatchers, Microlight and King Tuts Revenge.

On Sunday the action continues with Corin Hughes, Tim Fardon, Ed K-T, The Talk Show Hosts, Empire of Fools, The Stanleys, The Somerset Paddies, The Mangled Wurzels, Ltd Edition, Oas-is, Shoot The Moon and Snappa.

Organiser Jordan Jones told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Summerset Live is the best line-up of local musical talent in the South West this year and it’s just under four weeks away!”

“A jaw dropping line-up of 22 bands and artistes will descend onto the stage for a Bank Holiday weekend to remember.”

“The festival site here at Oaktree Park offers everything you will need from luscious green space to pitch your tent to a huge bar big enough to pitch yourself at.”

“With a huge selection of music from rock to pop and indie ska we really do have something to please everybody.”

The event will also include a colour-filled festival market pitching up with a huge selection of stalls selling everything from drift wood items to jewellery.

“For those looking to grab a bite to eat, visitors will be able to take a wander around our Food Village where they will be able to get their hands on mouth-watering pizzas baked in a traditional wood fired oven, delicious freshly prepared baguettes, as well as a huge array of other goodies,” he added.

There will also be fair ground side stalls, inflatables, music workshops, face painting and more.

Tickets are available to purchase from here and spectators are urged to get theirs early as tickets are limited. A Weekend Festival Ticket costs £20 and a Weekend Festival and Camping Ticket is just £25.
