A man who stole cash and jewellery during a house burglary in Burnham-On-Sea appeared at Bristol Magistrates Court on Friday (December 16th).
John McCann, aged 42, from Gloucester, was arrested earlier this week.
McCann has been charged with two counts of burglary and one count of conspiracy to defraud and driving without insurance.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary Inspector Clive Summerill praised the hard work and success of the Neighbourhood Watch schemes which assisted the police in catching the culprits.
He added: “Residents can play a vital part in keeping our communities safe by supporting their neighbours and telling us about suspicious incidents as they happen.”
