Harvest celebrations at Burnham-On-Sea’s St Andrew’s School

-

Pupils, staff and parents at Burnham-On-Sea’s St Andrew’s School have held a special harvest celebration.

The children brought cans, tins and packets of food to school with them – as pictured – for them to be donated to Bridgwater’s Refuge Centre.

A harvest service was also held, led by Father Paul Kingdom, during which the pupils joined in harvest songs and readings.

Headteacher Gavin Morris told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It is important to say thank you at this time of year but it is equally important to think of others less fortunate than ourselves.”

“Our harvest service provided our community with the opportunity to do both. The generosity of our parents is amazing and the local charity is very appreciative.”
