Three people have been arrested by Burnham-On-Sea police following a series of drugs raids on Saturday (October 8th).
Officers seized a white powder and a quantity of suspected cannabis during a raid on a premises in Abingdon Street, as pictured.
Officers swooped on the address at around 10am and a man was arrested in connected with the police investigation.
Sgt Ian Kennett from Burnham Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A white power suspected of being amphetamines was seized along with a quantity of cannabis.”
He added that police are linking the raid with a second “significant” drugs raid in Woolavington which also took place on Saturday.
“Two people were arrested in Woolavington – one of whom is believed to be linked to the Burnham address,” said Sgt Kennett.
A third drugs raid also took place on Saturday, led by Burnham PCSO Sarah England, in Burnham’s Oxford Street.
“A flat was searched with police dogs and a quantity of suspected cannabis was seized, leading to a further arrest,” confirmed Sgt Kennett.
