She had served on the parish council for two terms.

The Parish Council’s Chairman, Jon Harris, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are very sad to have heard that Hilary has passed away.”

“She was a very good member of the council who always had the interests of villagers at heart,” he said.

Hilary, who was in her 60s, lived in the village and formerly worked in mental health care across North Somerset.

Hilary’s funeral will be held at St Bridget’s Church in Brean on Wednesday 19th October at 11am.
